Agree, 30% seems unheard of. In Canada it seems normal to put down $15k or ~10% upon firm allocation but that’s still a far cry from 30.

I recently learned the hard way that the cheaper models aren't the quickest to get an allocation for. I've been on a list for a C2S for over 14 months. Heard that Porsche was using parts for more profitable cars and pumping them out, so I switched to a GTS. Allocation came in less than 2 months.

The best answer I can give you is my own experience since I also recently took delivery of a base 992. My wait - from the point you're at now - was nearly 14 months. I can also tell you that I dealt with a really good SA and a good dealership and they recently told me that they are telling new customers that it's a 2 year wait. And that's across all models, variants, colors, etc, everything is 2 years. These guys gave me a great purchase experience so I have no reason to doubt their 2 year estimate. Your biggest wait will probably be for the allocation to come through. That's the hardest process because it's so "opaque", you just have to be patient. After that you will have access to TYD and that gives you a little more insight into the rest of the process.
Good luck!
You’re also the guy saying the entire demand for 911s have crashed, and your local dealer has 7 unsold 911s they can’t move.

And here’s the BS statement we needed to hear that you’re not being genuine in your posts and inquiry.

What do you mean I'm not being genuine. I am asking a legit question and am not lying, what would even be the point

Btw I'm in the Middle East and they said the 30 percent deposit should be paid after they give me my allocation

I think its just how it works here in the Middle East maybe. They said the 30% deposit is to be paid after giving me my allocation

******Everyone, there's a misunderstanding
I put in my down payment for the order
Now the dealership said I should be getting my allocation this or next month in which then I will need to pay the 30% deposit
The 30% isn't for the order confirmation

Yes thank you, it looks like every country has its own method with the ordering process

30% seems high but I guess it depends on the dealership.

Edit: didn't read;ize OP was in the Middle East so depending on things are done there, 30% is a possibility.

I paid about 15% deposit in exchange for a configurable S at msrp to be delivered within 4-5 months. 30 is a lot, unless your getting something in exchange for it, like 30% instead of paying an ADM.

comparing likes on posts, man that got me laughing out loud! Is this Facebook or a Porsche enthusiast website?

also, please spill the beans on the dealer with 7 911s on the lot for MSRP. You could really help OP out here, and many others. Who needs to wait 14-24 months when you can stroll into a dealer and walk out with a new 911 at sticker!!

Well, I "liked" this just in case.

from freeze date mine arrived in about 3-4 months. Allocations vary based on dealer and are completely unpredictable
