I’m pretty sure I have this same issue. Going to take it in soon for service. I also have a door rattle. The tank rattle is more of a creaking sound in the steering wheel area/dash area. It is worse with full tank and goes away when below half tank or so, so I don’t think its the steering wheel dust cover issue that has a service bulletin.

My service advisor got a new service bulletin from Porsche about the tank rattle, so now I think the issue is well known everywhere. It has to do with the belt holding the tank.

Porsche992, thank you very much for the heads up! That is great to hear. I have a 2022 Carrera GTS w/extended fuel tank and also have the 1/2-tank and above rattle (no noise at all below 1/2 tank).

Mine was just built this week with extended fuel tank...I wonder if the fix is in place at the factory.

Any updates on whether they fixed your rattle? The dealer had it for a couple weeks and they couldn't replicate it....I had it recorded with 4 separate videos with loud obvious rattles but they say they couldn't replicate it. They think since the bulletin says only 2 out 280+? affected that its incredibly rare and to go pound sand.
.The tech lifted the car and showed me the straps which look like in good working order held in with 1 screw and a rubber tensioner washer on each.l strap He double checked torque and sent me on my way.

Of course the minute i drive it home it starts creaking and rattling again.

I think in one of the other threads someone had posted the service record from getting it fixed, but mine is attached here in case it is helpful for anyone. I got it fixed recently on my 2022 GTS with extended range gas tank. Once the parts came in it took them 3-4 days which was great. Based on advice from other Rennlisters (thank you!) I gave them a few recordings of the sound and took a short drive with the tech in charge of the repair (at a little above 1/2 tank) so he could hear it and didn't have any issues. The parts took a week or two for them to get in, then they called me to bring in the car with as empty of a tank I could get for the fix. It is really nice to have that noise gone (hopefully either forever or for a very long time). You can ignore the lower Part B on the invoice about the belly pan repair, that was a separate thing (it had come loose and got scraped up so they replaced it).

They changed the belt and knock on wood it seems like they fixed it. I laughed at the "only 2 were confirmed" with my service advisor, as he knows many more have this issue in the forum. To replicate , as you know the tank has to be 3/4 or full etc.. and its very weather or heat dependent.. I left the dealer a couple times thinking they fixed it (when they were trying to ad pads and stuff before Porsche made the new part available) just to get home and start to hear it again as the fuel tank expanded. Maybe try a different dealership. Good luck!

got mine replaced with https://www.porschepartsdepot.com/oe...part-992868910. It says they had to drop the subframe, disconnect coolant pipe and reinstall a thicker pad
