$30000 adm for gts allocation
Actually, I would take Gates off that list. He’s very approachable (met him once at a burger joint outside of Seattle), and he puts his money in many charitable causes. Now Elon Musk is a whole different animal. For him, it’s ALL about getting attention. Definitely an ego maniac.
It’s the new money, the people who recently made their fortune, that are the flashy ones.
The people I know from my development that like to flaunt their wealth by talking about how much they paid for something, as far as I can tell, have the money to back up their bravado. But my point was - for some of these people who like to brag how much they spent, paying above asking price is like a badge of honor for them…and they don’t give paying more, a second thought, if it’s something they want.
For people that had to work long hours, for decades building up their business to get where they are today, their view about spending/flaunting their wealth is quite different. Those that I know like that, still drive beater cars, and dress and act just like most people (nothing flashy). They don’t want to stand out.

P.s. Bill Gates wasn't always the way you describe him. That joker is ruthless. Arrogant s.o.b. used to charge people like $10K or $15K (can't remember) to tour his house years ago if you can believe that. I only know that because my Mom and Aunt were on some seniors group tour/trip out west a long time ago, heard about touring Gates' house, and laughed herself silly when she found out about the price. True story.
ADM - isnt it just “current market price”. If not there wouldn’t be long infinite wait list. Supply v Demand.
But we hate it!
When the market is other direction is it then wrong, and are you mad, that you got 10% off MSRP?
We all hate ADM.. maybe because it’s so obvious (msrp PLUS) but it is just market pricing … 😉
Also do you believe 911 MSRP is going down Vs today? I really don’t think, don’t think it ever has and Porsche will have inflation to account for in their margins.
Do we think the build line will get shorter anytime soon? Maybe the “pre line” might drop but I see that line still staying longer than build spots and costs going up.
All makes sense but i hate ADM… but In July I got a slot for 922 C4 GTS … and Oct 14 she came off the line and is headed to Emden for its boat ride to me!
I agreed to an ADM cap to get the slot. But I am hoping i can get some relief on overall total (below Cap), and /or trade off some amount for PFF, Warranty or even a donation to charity they support.
Anything to mentally not have paid an ADM 😉 or to minimize it.

- Ever sold anything into a hot market? Or pay above face value for a sporting event or concert? Or In your business, ever change pricing based on market?

Gates house cost him $66 million when he built. Now worth 2X that. Don’t blame Gates for his house appreciation. Some places appreciate a lot more than others. That said, I really could care less what he spent on his house…his money….and he’s donated way more than that to charitable funds.
As far as his house being showy….only way you can see is to either fly over it, or boat up to it, can’t see from the street (I tried to view).
Musk is a major A-hole…and a documented liar.

“Musk says he doesn't own his own house right now. He couch surfs, he said in a recent interview with with TED's Chris Anderson.”
LMAO 😂 😂 . Sure.

My wife briefly worked for him (as a software developer). She worked for Gates when his company was in New Mexico (early on in his career). My wife only had glowing remarks about how she was treated.
If people want to pay $10k to tour his house (FYI…sounds like rightwing crap/conspiracy to me), well, that’s on the idiots willing to pay that…just as it’s on the people that pay $20-$30k ADM for a Porsche. Blame Porsche, or blame those willing to pay? You tell me? Either way, it’s their money to spend as they see fit.

This train came off the tracks a long time ago. But feel free to get it back on track. I’m not stopping you?
As to your question - nothing. But I will continue to respond (as I am doing now) to people that ask me a question, or respond to one of my posts.
I might be interested in a custom order GTS, or even a Turbo or Turbo S.
But it would have to be a custom order with the options I want, and a price either below MSRP. or with some kind of purchase incentive, or better than expected trade in offer.
The way this economy is going under today's "leadership" it won't be very long b4 we are in recession and prices start to deflate. It will happen...

WW3 will be over any day now, its gotten stale and boring like a Carrera S becomes after the GTS releases
I'm ready for the next exciting item on the global armageddon checklist (in before someone tells me I'm not allowed to make WW3/end times jokes because xyz snowflake gets upset by abc, as they themselves hope for everyone else on this planet to suffer)Gotta love watching people hope for a global financial recession that negatively affects almost everyone on the planet so they can get their luxury purchase sooner. Never going to get old.
let's keep it going, I've got more snacks (will be eating them from the seats of my 992 that I bought new at MSRP and didn't have to wait more than a few days for, at a time when clowns like you all were demanding discounts. People like me got the memo in late 2020/early 2021, and we got our cars. Those who didnt pay the price, its not like the memo has changed
)Penny pinching is the exact opposite of (luxury overspending, which is) how textbooks suggest a repeat of the great depression could be avoided, so by penny pinching now you clowns could be inferred to be contributing to the next great depression. Congratulations Penny Pinchers, you're a certified water based cleaning product that moderators will get mad if I say the word for.
tl;dr refusing to pay adms is equivalent to directly contributing to the next great depression, congratulations you've won! Go forth and proudly exclaim to others that when western economies called you to action, after befitting you so greatly, you refused - medals all around.
If seems rude, what exactly is hoping for a global recession so you can get a luxury purchase cheaper. You Penny Pinchers are so lame that I hope porsche drops the 992.2 with a 15% MSRP (or greater) bump to teach ADM refusers a lesson

Ps: protip, lay off the avocado toast and vacation homes in flood zones, it will help you stomach the ADMs better (alternatively, buy used, etc etc whatever else people say)
