Matte vs Metallic
Hello everyone, one question, which do you guys think is better a metallic or matte finish on a blue car? I kind of a new member here and a prospective buyerofa new blue Porsche so I just wanted to get others opinion. I wanted to ask this in the general discussion forum but I can't for some reason.

Porsche doesn't offer matte finishes, though you can wrap one or apply a matte clear PPF to the underlying color. Never been a fan. The matte paint finishes are a pain to keep clean. OTOH, Porsche's Gentian Blue Metallic looks fabulous. Or you can PTS for many different blues.

i think you mean “flat” or “non-metallic” as opposed to matte, which is often a type of finish on PPF. regardless, the definitive answer is: whatever you like
i’ve got a sapphire blue metallic boxster and think it’s fantastic! i’ve seen several cars in shark blue (non-metallic) and it’s…fantastic. miami blue…fantastic. riviera blue…fantastic!
good luck
