Just curious if this higher pitched sound is something your car does? It’s most noticeable from the driver’s seat but seams to be coming from the engine - perhaps a belt sound? My dealer hasn’t heard it before and is checking other similar cars out, but I haven’t heard anything back from them.
Sound is most pronounced at low RPM - warm or cold, in motion or at rest.
Thanks for your thoughts!

Is this your first 911?
It’s tough to hear from the audio whether something was normal sounding or not, but be aware, these cars do make mechanical noises as part of the character of the car.
A 911 is not a sports car, not a luxury car.

Thanks for the comment. This is my second - I owned a 2014 50th Anniversary 911 that did not make this sound, but admittedly, the 3.8 L normally aspirated engine is a different beast than the 3.0 turbo. My intent is to prevent a larger mechanical issue down the road, regardless of whether it is under warranty or not.

IMHO all is normal. 4 911's owned. Idle sounds normal. Honest your problem the car is designed to run the hell out of it! Forget this crap, fire it up, open the pipes and run it like the cops are 2 blocks behind you! When it blows up it's the dealers problem. Plan on buying another one and enjoy what you have now!! My dealership loves me, I run the **** out of all my cars. When they tell me I'm burning through tires my response is I purchased a PORSCHE! If I want to save tires I'll buy a Lexus or MB!

I found a significant thread here (in the hopes it helps or Mods wish to merge/delete my thread).

I’m hearing exactly what @aggie57 and others noted, which is helpful and (somewhat) comforting.
