Any good tunes for 992 GTS?

I have M engineering stage 2 and honestly it didn’t really knock my socks off. I can’t even say I felt much of a difference. I didn’t dyno the car, this is just butt dyno. Other cars I have tuned in the past, there was no question that there was a huge difference. I changed spark plugs to their special gapped plugs and even put the car on Cup2s expecting my face to be ripped off by the blistering acceleration, but didn’t notice that. Maybe I’m just not very sensitive to the changes or was expecting more. I still would do it again, though because I have no check engine lights, and I like the exhaust valve control through the console buttons and the other features like turning off the start/stop. The staff at M engineering was very nice and very responsive to my needs and the process is very easy with the dongle and my laptop.

I do not know if GIAC even does a tune for the 992. The big three are M-Engineering, Softronic and APR. There are endless threads on this topic. You will have to sift through the fanboy stuff in some threads reach the information you're looking for. All three are good tunes and each has its advantages. Although, their differences are relatively minor.

I am very pleased with my M-Engineering tune. I do have a little skip at ~ 2,600 RPM when I am accelerating slowly. It does not bother me and really isn't that noticeable. The power and torque is enormously different. Torque is flatter and the power is significant. Car went from 479 at the fly wheel to ~ 560 at the wheel (estimated based on M-Engineering dyno charts and my mods). Honestly, I think it is fairly conservative. Now, if you have checked my signature you will see that I am also running 100 cell Soul Gen2 cats and a BRE X-pipe. There is very little resistance down stream of the turbos. I also like that auto stop/start is disabled and now the PSE valves are either fully open or fully closed. I can go quiet or I can open the exhaust up. Also, for me, M-E is just 25 miles down the road from me. I have stopped by their shop and Charles is super helpful. Later in 2026 I am planning to setup a time to do a full custom tune with M-E to optimize the exhaust. I am thinking about doing the DO88 intercooler mods and at least a portion of the DO88 intake piping mod. I'm waiting on the custom tune until I decide because I don't want to pay for the custom tune more than once.
I also, kno@M3Inline6 has the Softronic tune and he is very happy with it. I'm sure he would be willing to share his thoughts with you about that tune as well. Between the two of them I really don't think you can go wrong. Both firms support motorsports by tuning race cars for and at the track. Best of luck to you.

If you do the intercoolers, let me know because I might be able to save you a little bit of time during the install. The do88 stuff is high quality. I have their intercoolers and inlet pipes, but passed on the plenum. I still go back and forth about the intake (….and not long ago the do88 intake system was for sale here on the forum), but I didn’t want to have to remove the bumper every time I want to change or clean the filters. They are gorgeous though (…even if you’ll only be able to appreciate it with the rear bumper off)!
As for the Softronic, my favorite aspect of the tune is how naturally aspirated the car feels. Deceleration has a very NA vibe about it too. Boost is very linear and the power is there; if I gas it in 2nd gear, I break the tires loose. The car runs so good and my gas mileage improved when I’m not on it, but she drinks when I start thrashing it.
