Black interior- guards red or bordeaux red stitching/belt?
Braintrust-
For those with black leather interior and red deviated stitching/ belts / tach- what red color did you pick?
Guards red or bordeaux red?
I'm likely picking carmine red exterior. So it is a little tricky to pair the interior color (carmine interior not avail for non-GTS). I recognize in the end it may be hard to tell a difference but in the odd chance it looks really weird / obvious...I figured I'd ask. I've read through old threads, watched youtube and looked at many photos, but there's not much info on this.
Would love to hear any personal experiences with these two colors.

Bordeaux Red is more of a Burgundy colour. Think of those classic deep red Chesterfield leather sofas, it’s a nod to that. It’s named after the Bordeaux wine region in france famous for their deep red Bordeaux Burgundy wine so that’s the idea behind the colour.
Classic Porsche Guards red is a lighter red with a hue more into the orange spectrum.
If you want the stitching and belts lighter so they really pop against your black leather then that will be guards red.
If you want more of a subtle contrast so it’s noticeable as red but not so much in your face then that will be the Bordeaux.
On my ‘21 Guards Red C2S , I went with all black leather interior with black stitching and black seat belts. I wanted the focal points of the interior to be the tach and sports chrono in guards red.
Does it take getting used to staring at the red tach or is it quick to adapt?
Thanks! Guards Red exterior and interior stitching. No issue whatsoever with the red tach. When I decided on the black full leather interior, I needed something to break up the "darkness". So I went with the red accents and stitching plus aluminum trim.
I was considering Carmine exterior and went back and forth on both reds. Make sure you see them live in different light. I was a bit concerned about Guards Red having an orange hue in bright light, but it actually looks spectacular in bright light. With less light it can easily be mixed up with Carmine.
In the end, I went with Guards Red and it makes me smile every day when I look at it.

Two years later: I love your combo. Did you do high gloss in your bumper or is that the standard black? It looks like satin black wheel accents? My config is very similar and debating whether or not I want to add high gloss treatment:
