Default Questions about chalk

It was on and off my 992 radar . Ultimately I was happy with not choosing it but I am buying a Macan and with limited color selection its on my current build . I noticed recently that they discontinued it from the Cayenne . I read that its also coming off the Taycan . I have so many mixed feelings on the color . In some lighting situations it looks amazing . In overcast it looks hideous . This has confused me but my issue is that this is my 6th Macan so Im amp running out of colors . It matches better with black and carbon fiber than any other color but I don't feel its a forever choice . It seems to polarize opinions too . People who love it love it and those who hate it really hate it .

So.. I am tossing it up to everyone but also curious about those who own it. Do you regret it ? Those who dont .. do you regret not buying it ?

I have this love/hate thing with it . Usually I feel SUV's wear dark colors but Miami is hot and 3 JBM's in row is pushing me away from number 4 . I wrestle with it .

One of the most underated colors, IMO. Well specced, black contrast bits here and there and you have a killer looking daily!

I’m in louisiana so I agree a lighter color is nice but I also really like it and would have picked it regardless

I do love black cars too but I just can’t do that with the heat anymore. It’s rough

I think chalk looks best on Cabs or Targas with truffle interior.

I think it looks good if you throw a bunch of contrast black parts to go along with her.

I love my chalk...especially with the gloss black bits and carbon roof.

I would ask over in the macan forums. The chalk cayennes have a lot of surface area compared to a 911 and I love my chalk but it does indeed look sometimes a bit much on larger cars... maybe the macan won't feel so "chalky" compared to a cayenne. the door blades also may affect your opinion on the macan also...

I had a 991.2 TTS for over 2 years and almost kept it longer-- I got many compliments on the color. My only issue with it was in certain bright conditions, it had some beige/brown undertones to it. Other than that I thought it made the 991 look more modern. Overall 9/10 color in my book.

That said, I have seen that color MANY times, at least in my area. Taycan, Macan, Cayenne, 992...it's all over the board.

Not sure if I was shielded with confirmation bias, but I have not seen any “hate” surrounding the colour chalk. I can say after 5 months I’m still happy as hell with my crayon 911.

If you have to ask others (especially strangers) whether a particular color is right for you, then it just means that the color is not right for you.

I think it's a timeless color. Yes, i am biased as i did pick it, but I did for that reason. Other colors can offer more flash or comfort; however, over time, chalk will always look good.

It's still a 911 so whatever color you get, it will be fabulous.

I have a love/hate relationship with Chalk too. In certain lights I love it, in others it has beige/green/khaki undertones which I don’t like. BUT- I get compliments almost daily on the colour- I’m shocked how much people love and gravitate towards it. I thought the black “bits” really worked but I’ve recently swapped out my wheels for “brushed champagne” HRE’s and I’m now loving the colour of chalk a lot more
