RubyStar coming as Special Color to replace SB or PG?
#46
Do we know if this color is available only after a certain date for MY23? I have a build that locks in 6 days, wonder if it is available…I’m predicting no.
Sending my SA note in the AM, but if anyone knows, please let me know 🙏

It's just a new paint so it shouldn't be too hard to get up and going. Might not delay anything at all considering we knew RSn was coming at the beginning of the 2023 model year

Thank you @balucipher! And yeah, waiting is not a problem with me. Since it is getting closer to winter in the NE, I’m probably the only one hoping my allocation can be pushed back to the Spring.

Just submitted for RSN (RubyStarNeo), build locks in 19 days. I'll update this page on status.

ok got an update, SA said in the dealer config, it wouldn't accept the order for RSn yet. At least for an allocation on or before Jan 20th 2023. Not yet at least.

Yep! My dealer just said this color was unavailable for my build that locks in 7 days. Guess it is back to my original plan.

I am hoping that at the Porsche North America office, there is a Post-it note on the desk of some Developer that says: "Add Rubystar Neo to the dealer configuration tool, it has been added to the online configurator". And that Developer is OOO today.

Sorry, but that all smells fishy to me. If indeed a base model w/o extra options they ask $18k ADM?

I was curious and clicked on one of the 911 listings. Apparently at $124k it is a basic base model..."premium features" include rear fog lamps and bluetooth ;-). No window sticker on the listings what options it has, the stock photos show PSE and SC...but apparently that is not what the car has.

And it could be a customer ordered car - listed at MSRP - but not actually for sale.
I remember when my car was inbound, my VIN and specs showed up in my dealer's Online inventory.
I immediately called my SA thinking they were trying to sell it out from under me since I was receiving a healthy discount just when all this ADM madness was starting.
He told me this was an automated inventory update

If there aren't actual pictures of the car - that means it's likely still inbound..

I doubt they have most of these new and used cars actually available - like you suggest.

I'm now debating this color for my upcoming 911T. I would LOVE to see it in person first. When do we think the first ones will actually show up, anywhere?
