Thoughts after first 48 hours with my C2S cab MT
1) I had extremely high expectations for this car after reading reviews, blogs etc. and the actual car blew these reviews out of the water! I have never been so impressed with a car right out of the box as i am with this one. Due to the current situation, I never drove or even sat in the car before I gave the dealership $150,000! I can honestly say it feels like this car was built just for me, everything fits like a glove.
2) The standard seat is perfect, since i am the only driver of the car the need for power everything and memory was of no concern, again the seating position and design of the seat is perfect! I can see driving for hours in these seats.
3) The transmission is amazing!!!! the throw, the position, auto blip in sport mode, the feel as you row though the gears is heaven.
4) OMG THE SOUND! enough said
5) fit and finish is remarkable every were you touch is perfect.
6) The car feels like it is on rails!
Some cons:
1) Like others have said, PCM is not the best, you would think at this level it would be much better, not really user friendly. Some of this may be due to the fact that i use an android and not an apple product. I will give it more time and maybe it will make more sense as i use it more.
2) HomeLink
, again others have talked about this and yes, it is an issue. It does help to assign one of the programable buttons for this function but what they don't tell you is that you need to be on top of the door for it to work. The HomeLink on my kids Toyota works all the way down the street, just not a good system
3) In the past 48 hrs. the top has been down a total of @ 5 hours (wish more but rain has hampered this) what i am noticing is that in a short period of time I am already getting creases, concerning me about long term use, is this going to get a lot worst?
4) Very hard to keep the car under the 4500 RPM break in requirements, car just wants to go!
Overall, the pros outweigh the cons by far and it is worth every penny. I do have a long trip coming up that will put @ 1200 miles on her, I look forward to giving RL my trip update.
One thing I noticed with the manual transmission is that since the pedals are sort of bunched to the right, it is easier to drive with driving shoes which are a bit narrower than typical shoes.
re: Homelink, did you program it while your 911 was in the garage? If so, try re-programming it while your 911 is parked outside on your driveway. I think the satellite GPS system senses based on the programmed location. BTW, I carry my garage opener on my sun visor :-)

Yes, you will get creases in the top, just shows you use it. Mods you will want to do, especially on a black car
1) Clear Front Markers - get those ambers off of there! They're not expensive, save the ambers for when you sell the car down the road
2) Buy a Smart Top module, makes using the convertible so much more enjoyable. For example, I will put the top down while walking to the car, letting a whole bunch of hot air out of the car before I'm there to get in it. Also, when parking, I can walk away from the car while the top and windows are going up and locking. And in the car, it's all one-touch operation. Plus, for us older guys the car is MUCH easier to get in and out of with the top down.
Setting the Home Link is a pain. You have to have the car in front of the garage door, follow the instructions in the owner's manual to the letter - run up to your garage door opener and press the LEARN button, then run back to the car within 30 seconds to complete. It's not hard once you realize you have to read the directions, but its not intuitive in the least. Older garage door systems are more stubborn, too.
