Hi All,
I am looking at getting back into the Porsche Club and am eying a low model 2019 GTS or trying to find a 2020 or 2021 C2S. My daily is a Tesla Model S and it's great for commuting but not the most fun car unless I floor it on a straight line. I want more noise, a stiffer ride and much better handling which brings me back to Porsche.
The local GTS is well optioned (see below), a local car (no shipping is huge) and decently priced. I have driven a 992 C2S without the Sports Chrono and it was not as fun to drive as this GTS and felt quite a bit larger. For those who have driven a C2S with the Sports Chrono Package, how does it compare to the 991.2 GTS? Is it reasonable to think that once more 992s are out the 991.2s will see a decent drop? With the 992s out and becoming more available, is going for the new model in a C2S the better play?

Thanks for the help!

The 992 is a different platform than the 991, and they drive completely different. Having owned the 991 prior to the 992, there is no way I would go back to the older chassis which is rougher riding and a less integrated interior, not to mention the styling is looking dated these days.. You need to drive both however. The real difference is not Carrera S vs GTS, its 991 vs 992.

What does the sports chrono do in a 992? I know on a 991 it adds the feature to select drive modes from a **** on the steering, but for a 992, isnt that available in the touch screen anyways?

Well, you get the clock and being able to track your lap times...but that is a bit gimmicky. On a PDK equipped car, it comes with launch control and sports response button which drops you into the lowest possible gear for a few seconds.
