Anybody else get this email? Or is this, as I suspect, a new version of the Nigerian prince scam?
Not that I would EVER submit any info…but just curious.
Porsche Gasoline Vehicle Settlement - Claim Portal Now Open
Apparently this is legit. It covers 2005 through 2020 model year Vehicles, because Porsche used very sophisticated computer softwarephysically altering test vehicles that affected emissions and fuel economy results.
I wish they use the " very sophisticated software" on their PCM

Wait, are you saying that VAG used software to cheat on emissions testing? I wonder if this is a lingering effect from the VW diesel issue or if they simply didn't learn their lesson. I have to imagine it is the former.

Two separate frauds are alleged in the class action complaint. The most pervasive was axle ratio fraud-the cars submitted for fuel economy testing had a lower/longer final axle ratio than production cars resulting in a better fuel economy and inaccurate Moroney labels. The second alleged fraud is the manipulation of the Sport Chrono option and its software which applies to a subset of the cars effected by the axle ratio fraud.
