if you are set on having it flat-bedded to installer ....you could have it returned to dealer by flatbed and get the dealer pick up you want and have coffee and cookies while you wait . lots of options here just depends on how you want to remember that pick up . honestly I have forgotten most of that experience . what I do remember that was while sitting in car with my SA going over car systems and getting phone connected it seemed like an endless amount of time and I drove home in the dark . if you are already familiar with a 992 then no need for to much time with the dealer , but in the end I was happy to have spent time getting to know the car with the SA but probably forgot the majority of it on the drive home and have had to refer to the Manuel more then once . whatever you decide to do know this you are going to love the car . have fun and drive
You guys are hilarious. Thanks for the information. I don’t really have a strong sentiment either way. I just wanted to gauge what the common practice is.
Hopefully my installer’s quote is still good. I was suppose to take delivery in April but that car was totaled on the ship.
I debated what to do on my 500 mile drive home from PEC-ATL and my installer gave me Xpel Tracwrap. Worked great and not a single blemish before full PPF!
I would just use this Tracwrap and drive the car to the installer because they are so close. No need for a tow truck.

You will be ok my friend whatever you decide. Enjoy the car!
OMG! Flatbed to the installer for real? Aren’t you concerned about flat spotting the tires as the car will be strapped down with force significant enough to hold it on the truck? What about potential exhaust particulates from the transporter’s emissions landing on that virgin, unprotected paint? How will you be able to get a good nights sleep with all of this?
