Default Wireless Android auto for 992?

With the past update from Android and some manufacturers offering it already. Does the 992 come with wireless android auto from the factory?

Or do you have to use the wires or one of those motorala adapters?

'22 and newer cars with PCM 6 support Android Auto.

Cars built in the first half of the '22 model year run are only able to do wired AA at this time. There is a rumor that they are working on an update for them.

Later builds support wireless AA. You can quickly tell those because the PCM has colored icons on the home screen.

My '22 was built in November and has wired only, but I've been using the Motorola adapter for a few months now and it has been really flawless.

Thanks for sharing that. I rented a Chevy Malibu and ir had wireless Android Auto. So much better! Once you use wireless, it is hard to go back to wires.
let's see what my GTS comes with.

From my friend who is a programmer and worked for Bosch, each manufacturer has contracts with certain companies. So you will only see results based on their contracts on their auto/nav.

Anyways, hopefully I have wireless if not than the motorola adapter. Might get it jst for my Daily Driver.

If it is any consolation, Youtube Music plays perfectly on my late 2019 992 using the blutooth connection on Android wirelessly.

I purchased Youtube Premuim a couple of rears ago, best £12 a month I have ever spent. My playlist works seamlessly and all the displays come up on the center screen.

The Porsche live traffic data is pretty accurate too if you keep the £150 per year data contract. As good as Google maps I would say.

So for me, it isn't too much of a step-down from my old Teslas tech wise, if not a bit more expensive data wise.

it only doese full-screen, just as though it were wired Android Auto on the 992. I have no option to split it at this time.

I have the Motorola too...works great just like it being plugged in directly. Occasional android auto shuts down and I have to go into devices and reselect it.

It also gets pretty warm/hot which keeps me checking the unit sometimes after I get home..
