The larger tank is more for track rats I think.

But it’s also nice if you’re traveling through rural areas which probably don’t cycle their 93 octane much.

The serious trackers that I know…that go regularly during the track season on the East Coast….worry about every ounce of weight on their cars. So the added weight of filling up a larger gas tank (gas weighs 6 lbs per gallon), I would think for those hard core guys, would be a no-go? I remember when I was building my car, somebody on Rennlist mentioned why serious trackers don’t add extras like a sunroof, ie, an extra ~ 50 lbs at the highest point in the car.

Sorry for the diversion, but couldn’t resist. I found it kind of funny:

Even is Sweden (?) they do it?

300Kw AWD isn’t to be sneezed at, 350Kw if you take the $5,500 performance pack. But there’s that YT video floating around of one being driven around the Nurburgring, which for all the good thinks about the P2 makes me happy to have a 911 as well.

Yes, still happy to have my 911 as the fun car….

Won’t get the P2 until at least October (as a 2023 model). Was going to wait to see what the P3 looked like, but the Mrs didn’t want a bigger car than the P2, and this met all her needs….so we decided to order. Our son and his wife in Seattle first turned me on to Polestar….they’ve had one for about 6 months.

highway mileage is truly exceptional in this car. I'd have averaged even better driving closer to 65mph rather than 85 on these stints of the road trip. This is almost as good, perhaps better, than our more pedestrian Audi S5 Sportback in terms of highway fuel economy. It's super easy to exceed the EPA estimates.

But for my daily commute of ~9 miles through Atlanta traffic, it's a little less impressive. Almost all of this is in normal mode, but I tend to wind it out under bridges and on ramps in Sport+ at least once every trip.

Love it! Excellent documentation.

I have the same projected delivery date, MY23 as well. I ordered May 8, seems a lot of people who ordered around that time have been told October for delivery. I'm not sure I believe them just yet, happy to be optimistic though .

Glad to hear your son and wife like theirs; it was my wife who suggested we look at them. I'd seen them at South OC C&C (they sponsor the event) but really hadn't given them much thought otherwise, but after I drove one I was very impressed. Seems most folks who own them do enjoy them.

I’m betting on a November delivery, but in no real rush. The thing that took some getting use to during the test drive was the 1 peddle operation. Once I got comfortable with only having to press and let off the accelerator peddle, and not have to brake, it was pretty cool.

Yes, my son and his gf love the P2. They are driving up to Vancouver next weekend, from Seattle, to see her parents…so that will be their first semi-long trip where they will get to experience charging up on the road. Then in a few weeks, we fly out and we all drive down in their P2 for an Iron Man competition he is participating in, down in Oregon….so another longer trip, with 4 of us and our crap in the car. All should be a good test of it’s road worthiness? He mentioned Polestar gives you 2 years of free charging through Electrify America….so, both trips will total 600-700 miles, all free, with no gas bills. Pretty sweet.
