Hello Everyone,
It is very likely that we are heading toward a recession. Mortgage rates will be pretty high in the next 2-3 years. Income will be unstable due to the economic conditions. I don't want to put myself in cash flow difficulty.
For your guys, how much saving is left after spending on a 992?
I am placing a order for 992S. I will leave sufficient cash for next two years mortgage payments. How about you?
thank you

I think I remember some Taj Mahal lyrics going something like this....."Ain't nobody's business but my own". Or maybe it was Ella Fitzgerald? Hmmmm, maybe both.

While everyone will have a different definition of affordability, if that’s all your left with after you buy a car, I personally would not consider the car affordable. Many of people will likely have hundreds of thousands to millions saved before pulling the trigger on a car as expensive as a 911. But if your a high earner, and have confidence in your ability, then go for it. Lots of people in that camp too.

Paycheck to paycheck baby! Eating food from the dollar store and showering at work to save on the water. YOLO!

I would not spend more than 5% of your net worth on a Porsche. You will enjoy it much more when it does not change your financial situation significantly.
My Targa 4S comes in August!
I consistently discussed with my children that savings is so important when you are young.
When you "don't" spend $1,000 when you are 20 , you can spend $20,000 when you are 60!
This is assuming 8% return.

And the $20k at 60…I guess that’s assuming one lives to 60?

If you know the extension of the person you're trying to reach, press 69, followed by POUND. lmao
