Supply chain improving? Economy getting worse? Base models aren't as "rare" as others?

Cracks me up.

If you're selling the car, then the market is the market, which differs from Carava to BAT to private sale to selling to your dealer. It is simply a matter of how much work you want to do to wring a few extra $$ out of your car and what it is worth to you.

Sell it and be done with it. You could have done better somewhere else, with someone else and of course, you could have done worse too. If it is at MSRP then you got to drive it for the cost of gas and insurance and had some fun!

Yes all true. BTW have you had a peak of the equity markets recently? Mortgage applications are at a 5 yr low. Shanghai up and running close to 100%. Big box stores are loaded to the gill with inventory. GDP falling faster than a drunk on Bourbon st. Stop “cracking up” and read the the Journal/ FT.

I hope you feel better.

Personally, I don't care about any of that, I'm good with not checking on it all. I don't peek or peak at things. (totally kidding and not picking on you or the auto correct spelling)

I am doing okay thank you sir (or ma'am) and don't need to stop laughing and read something that you do. I do appreciate the insight and thoughtfulness though. Cheers!!

Interesting comment from one of the folks on the thread..." not as rare". The reason these cars are all commanding over MSRP is you cannot get them. I live in the Dallas area and the ADM is crazy and the wait is something I would not do. I have a 2021 base Carrera which I like a lot, but would not wait 9 months or so to pay 10k-15k over sticker etc, etc. The dealers around here do not have 992 models period. My guess this is a 150k car with 2k miles, good equipment and a careful owner. Just my two cents worth. If I had room I would like to add a cab....just drove one for a week in the Austria and Swiss Alps, awesome.

I have a 2022, base carrera with 2K miles. From my research, i'm pretty sure someone would buy it for 145K easily. Who knows, maybe 150. Dealers aren't stupid and if they are going to pay mid 130's, they aren't just doing that to make 5-7K. Just my .02.

Take the dealer’s offer as a pre-trade for another car and enjoy the tax advantages of doing so, which may save you about $10k in sales tax on the next car depending upon the state that you live in.

And roll the profit right into a new trade in with 10-15K of ADM for a clean wash equaling MSRP !

I agree. Go into any Porsche dealership now and there are no new vehicles. All of the newer, low mileage cars in the showroom are minimum MSRP + $20K.
