I agree with that assessment. Wasn't clear at all in my wording but if car sites have egg on their face for missing the .2, they really have egg on their face for claiming NA motors because of exhaust placement.

I would say this prediction would carry more weight if it came from a sales manager or higher.

SA, not so much.

Personally, I would be surprised if MY '23 is a 992.2. and released on 6/23. That's 2 weeks away and Porsche has not released any official photos of the updated car. The 992.2 will have different lights and new features. There would be promotion.

But what do I know. I guess we'll find out in a few weeks.

2023 will be same as 2022 with higher price and possibly less available options due to ongoing supply chain issues, their already pulling some options from the current 2022 builds, ie electric steering adjustments, some extended leather and sport packages to name a few, I just had to deselect several options for my 992 July build.

The 992 launched in 2020 and based on previous platform updates the 992.2 won’t launch until 2024 soonest, probably later based on our new world reality. Just take a look at the 991 dates below.
  • First phase (2011–2016) (991.1)
  • Second phase (2015–2019) (991.2)

My car is scheduled for a late Aug build. I kind of hope it is a 22 not a 23, although it probably will be a 23 with a higher price tag. If it is a 23, I hope dark blue returns and there is no hybrid option to increase HP.

You want it to be a 23, it will hold a higher value.

One recent change I can see on the UK and DE configurators is that the GT style steering wheel only now seems to be an option in Race-Tex for the Carrera and Carrera S. The leather option is no longer there. This will mean a rethink on my current spec as the Grey/Black Race-Tex wheel won't look so good against Truffle Brown IMHO.

If you have a build in progress or build date, isn't it a 2022?

I was expecting the alleged July allocations to be 2023 models in whatever form it is (992.1 or 992.2).

I spoke to my S.A. today, and he said there's no news on changes for 2023, other than price. He didn't have a date for me either, as to when the switch will occur. Clearly, this is much later than usual already. My 22 Targa 4 allocation was V200 on 4/20/21, with production beginning in July. I know there were some earlier than that, and the last of the 2021 models had the next year's price increase.

Sounds like we need to give a call to the profit Isaiah. I'd take his word on 992.2 timing.

[QUOTE=LSM111;18185652]Def not 992.2. That’s next year.

"my dealer already confirmed when he got 2023 allocations. Pricing is up same 992.1 model."

Your dealer can confirm and offer specific 2023 Allocations?

Actually I stand corrected.. it's still there. Thought the GT leather wheel was under 'Leather' but it's still there under 'Interior'

Configurator update aligns with Goodwood & potential RS reveal. Makes sense, but won’t be 992.2

I put a deposit on a TT in April but my dealer says it’ll be a 23 build and a year wait. Currently 6th on the waiting list and I’m glad to be getting a 992.1 which means it won’t be a hybrid platform! I’m already in love with my current 992 c2 body lines.
