Two very different experiences. The AMG is very luxurious inside, carbon and leather everywhere. The twin turbo V8 sounds incredible with the AMG sport exhaust and tuned (Renntech) or stock it hauls *** - the 9 speed DCT snaps shifts in an unreal manner. The 4matic and 4 wheel steering make the car feel smaller and lighter than it is. But... It's a very large and heavy car. For how large of a body it is, the inside is sports car small. Ride is super stiff even in comfort. And over 6 months last year it spent 71 days in service for this or that.
911 is lighter, more explosive (stage 2 tune), much lighter and more communicative steering with a much sharper turn in, and the tech is more straightforward and easy to utilize. The JCR exhaust makes this thing sound better than anything I've ever had. Plus I think it looks so sexy.
In the AMG I'm always trying to convince myself the car is bad ***, in the 911 I always find myself simply enjoying the drive.

yes and no, I enjoyed my AMG just as much - nothing beats the rumble and shear power of the AMG… no need to pick one over the other, both great machines. Did you know the old GT BS outperforms the GT3 RS on the ring, which is a drivers/ handling course?
