I probably would have a hard time to decide between a GT3RS and Turbo S too given the choice...but calling it most overrated is a bit much. Could make the same argument for the Turbo S - how many owners even come close to use its potential on street or track vs using them as cruisers to get to the next cars and coffee or dinner with the wifey. GT3RS is a purpose designed car and it does what it is for very well. I asked the owner (father/sun) which car they would prefer, i.e. the GT3RS or Ferrari and hands down answered GT3RS, i.e. if you compare cars compare them to cars intended for similar purpose ( same purpose aka as competition cars and not daily sports cars like the turbo S).

That’s not the point. It’s very likely that those people you met are using those cars for their right purpose. The point is though that most GT3s and GT3RSs are being purchased to be displayed, collected and/or used as daily drivers, rather than for their purpose on the track. And, as daily drivers, they are truly uncomfortable when compared to other cars built for daily driving.

yeah, but thats true for about most 200k+ cars. Most sit in garages for 99% of their lives...just think about how many Dakar's ever will see dirt, how many S/T's get more than a few hundred miles etc...but that does not mean a car is over or underrated. Maybe overhyped, if you call it like that.

PS: I would gladly get e GT3 and use as daily. I hear from quite a few who have one that its actually pretty easy to use as daily (relative spoken vs other 992's I would say and not compare to your Kia Sorento)

We’re 100% in agreement before your PS. Meanwhile, I’m happily and comfortably driving a Carrera S with standard PASM. I don’t think my aging spine could tolerate daily-ing a stiffer suspension, which is one of the reasons why I decided to go for an S instead of my original idea to get a GTS. GT3s are even stiffer.

PS: I know you can get a GTS with standard PASM, but that setup defeats the purpose imho, and I didn’t want center locks, buckets, Race-Tex or the black theme either.

Well, we are all different. I am not the youngest/most flexible either anymore but I made my PASM suspension stiffer (and lower) and I like it that way. GT3 suspension would not be an issue for me but welcome change.

And that’s the beauty of the 911 lineup: there’s something for every taste, that can be tailored to the last detail to cater to our individual desires. 👍

Almost - I did my own little tailoring beyond the configurator ;-)

Is this lowered ? Could you share your setup if it is lowered. The stance looks perfect (not slammed, but just the right wheel/tire gap)
