How is everyone doing? is there any updates or on how to get back the old 3D configurator. It is quite retarted when configuring car in the lame 2d configurator. The iPhone App barely gets all the cars in it and it is annoying on holding iPhone/iPad to see it.
Oh that sweet, sweet, delicious irony when someone spells the word "retarded" incorrectly . . .
Well done sir, step away from the keyboard, this is not for you.
lol...That was intentional fantastic catch
Seriously, ever since Porsche removed the Unity 3D configurator, building custom car builds on the current web platform is disappointing. All other car manufactures follow the same approach, what Porsche was doing before was innovative on the website.
I miss it too - although it was always glitchy.
I ended up "underground" while panning around the car many times, and if an option didn't load it left a "black hole" in the car!
The 3D plug in isn’t available because it was replaced by the Porsche Augmented Reality Visualizer app.
The advantage of the AR app is you can project the car with your smartphone or tablet onto pretty much any surface you want: driveway, garage, family room, kitchen table, etc. Once projected, you can physically walk around the vehicle while viewing it through your device.
