Default Locking the car

I’d like an audible chirp when locking the car as I often press the lock bottom on the key fob after I’ve already started walking away from the car. I checked the instructions but didn’t have any luck.

Does anyone know if it’s possible to set a chirp and if so how to?

I would need to look at the manual or PCM to confirm, but I do not believe there is a way to make it chirp when locking. The lights will flash and if you have power folding mirrors they will fold in (that is how I know mine is locked).

You also can lock/unlock from the phone app - I have only tried this once but it will also show you if locked as well.

Related topic - I did find out this weekend the hard way about the alarm. I have a targa which was open when I parked and locked it at a soccer game I was at with my daughter - a leaf fell in the car, and that interior sensor alarm thing - is very sensitive.. It went off and it was a tiny leaf that landed on the seat. You can turn that off, or have it pop up when you shut the car off to allow you to select on or off on that internal alarm sensor.

PCM-

Settings>Vehicle>Locking (or something like that)>Confirm vehicle locked with tone (or something like that)

Thank you for this. I have a coupe so I don’t have to worry about foliage but it’s funny, I’ve notice the passenger seat sensor is also beyond sensitive. For instance, if I place a large water bottle on it the car will start chiming for the passenger to buckle up.

I also have the folding mirrors but I love locking the car with the key while it’s in my pocket as I’m walking away. Not having to turn around to visually confirm is big in my book.
