Mine is exactly the same as the OP describes. Feb 2022 build GTS. I was planning to ask next time I’m at the dealership but first service in the UK is not until two years so could be a while! I only noticed whilst cleaning.

It’s weird that some cars have the door flare and some do not.

My thinking since getting my car with flared lower doors is that it's intentional, designed to direct air flow around the lower fender. Whether it's supposed to be flush or flared, there's some egregiously bad panel fitment going on here for some owners.

I found a random 992 while out patrolling and it, too, has flush doors (…visually and to the touch).

I tried to take a pic of mine , camera pointing up from the floor. Bottom of pic is the rocker, black line is the air gap, too white is the door. I always figured it was designed like that because it is well outside any normal design tolerance. Doesn’t really bother me and can’t really tell from a normal angle. but interested to see what your dealer says OP.

That would truly bother me and it doesn't look normal or like it's supposed to be like that. I haven't seen any 992 in the flesh that is like that. I wonder if there is correlation to month/year produced or maybe something on the production line was re-tooled. I can't imagine that would go unnoticed during quality control checks.

Mine is a 2022 C2S. Sept. 21 build. So there appears to be many months where this could have persisted if it was a factory issue that has since been corrected.

Curious if the doors that aren't flush have been or were adjusted to be easier to close? My 2022 doors require a decent throw to almost-slam shut (and are perfectly flush).
Cheers!

As do mine. I often find myself having to reopen the door and close it harder.

My doors are also hard to close and have not been adjusted.
