Well, the car runs very rich on cold start up, hence the potential for fuel dilution. The motor just doesn't warn up properly idling in your garage. It needs a load on it. Keep below 4K rpm, and wait till the oil hit 180F. Start the car, wait for it to come off high idle, about 75 seconds, and drive off. By the time you start the car, put on your seat belt, adjust the radio and HVAC, it's off high idle and ready to go. Idling, fuel dilution, leaky injectors, and cold climates can all lead to bore scoring, but, that's more of a 997 thing.
