I like to do some accelerations from time to time but I also like to take my time by driving at 90kmh , with a good music and nice scenery.
My car has currently only 500km since its brand new so I rather take it slow for a while
I have about 1700 miles on my car; 1200 from the road trip alone. It was nice getting acquainted with the car.

While it is unlikely that I would've been cited had I driven faster and been pulled over (..my plates come back to my department and/or I would have produced my badge if pulled over), non-law enforcement assume a more significant risk driving any faster on public roads. At what point or at what speed [on public roads] would constitute, "driving the car properly"?

OK, no more LEO soapbox. On to excessive speeds on public roads. Enjoy!

P.S. I did pull this guy over. He was cool.
Driving the car properly has nothing to do with speeding, or exceeding the speed limit.

For me, on public road, it's really about revving out the engine and not short shifting simply for the sake of fuel economy, or coasting to a stop.

And for what it's worth, I rarely, if ever, find the need or desire to speed on public roads. I save all my hooniganiism for the track.

It sounds like a little presumption here, but it's not worth the debate. Thanks for the response.

FWIW, "revving out the engine" is directly related to the speed of the vehicle, which....in turn......often leads to exhibition of speed and/or speed contest citations (...depending on the circumstances).

....back to people not driving their Porsches as intended.

So how do you make the assumption I’m not driving my car as you see properly based the snap [only] I provided? You have zero basis for your inflammatory statement. The 30 mph I shared includes very little freeway driving as I prefer breaking in my car on several of our twisty mountain roads in N GA & E TN. Also, my work commutes speed limits top out at 45 mph with a couple of 15 mph school zones and a 25 mph limit in our neighborhood and my work downtown. I may go 5 - 10 over on wide open roads but nowhere else. I also don’t challenge yellow lights and abide by other traffic control devices. As a CDL Examiner and instructor since the 1980’s I’m pretty sure I know how to behave on public roads so as not to be a threat to those around me, in my car and myself. Your comments are simply immature and typical internet keyboard jockey blather that add zero content to a technical discussion forum about our cars. I hope your online attitude makes you feel whole.

Agree completely. I remember taking my Audi S4 to about 120mph on a suburban highway where the posted speed limit was 65mph. I immediately started to wonder how deep under the jail I'd be thrown if a cop saw me?
When driving cars like these, it reminds me of the old expression, "real lions don't have to roar."

I can only repeat myself - seems some people take some lighthearted comments waaaay too serious. Chill folks, it’s an open forum and poking at each other it’s just part of it and makes it entertaining . Can’t believe how serious some folks take it here including talking about insults and law enforcement. Take it down a notch and show a smile when someone pokes you.

Let me just apologize to anyone (esp. @M3Inline6 and @icanthelpit ) if I offended anyone.

My post was intended half in jest and half in a more serious tone. It was never intended to tell anyone how to drive their own car, be it a 911 or anything else.

Let's just call it a poor attempt at humor and leave it at that.

Cheers everyone.

It’s all good, Sir! I appreciate the gesture, but I truly wasn’t offended at all……just genuinely curious.

Cheers and may we all achieve excessive mileage in our cars…..whether we get there with haste or at a snail’s pace.

Today’s drive. Had to wait for a long, slow train otherwise average speed would have been higher. Also dog was on his first ride in the car and didn’t want him puking in it plus pinkie swore to my wife no radical action with her in car. All is good. Amazing MPG’s IMO:

I have done about 1750 miles since I took delivery of my car, my average m.p.g. for that distance is 18.4 m.p.g. and my average speed is 24 m.p.h.I have driven the car at over 100 m.p.h. and every speed in between. With traffic the way it is these days I don't know how people achieve higher speed averages over longer distances and time periods.
