Same Brake Pads for GTS and GT3?
I'm looking at replacing the OEM brake pads on my incoming GTS. I've always had good luck with the Ferodo 312s and would like to use them if they fit.
So, my question is...are the brake pads on the 992 GT3 and GTS interchangeable? Looks like folks in the GT3 forum have switched to Ferodos. Both have 408mm front rotors and 380 rears, albeit the GT3's are dimpled, not cross drilled. Not sure if that would make a difference.
I did speak with Clark at APEX Performance, who was gracious enough to return my call while he is on vacation, but he didn't have access to his cross referencing material and I did not want to impose. He did indicate that there may be a problem but wasn't specific.
Hopefully someone on the forum has already addressed this with their new GTS???
Thanks!

So, after no response and weeks of research on my own I finally called Clark at Apex Performance. He happened to be on vacation but graciously returned my call, and said he would get back to me upon his return. In the meantime after being blown off by several vendors I contacted Essex racing and spoke with Wade. He was such a big help. After some initial research while on the phone he said would get back with me since the GTS was a new model. I honestly didn't expect a call back, but he followed up with a few phone calls. Wade was genuinely interested in finding an answer. Since Essex is the distributor for Ferodo. I mentioned that I had been working with Clark and didn't want to diss him since he was good enough to call me back while on vacation. Not to mentioned I have purchased products from Clark for years. No worries they both got together and came up with an answer. The 992 Ferodo DS 312's GT3 pads are indeed a fit for the 992 GTS. Pads are on order from Apex.
Just wanted to give a shout out to Wade at Essex Racing and Clark at Apex Performance. Can't believe they spent so much time on a set of pads. They are the real deal. Great customer service! Many thanks for your help guys!!

Thanks for posting this. Really helpful to me.
I have been figuring I'd run my stock pads for a day or two before switching and see if they are as bad as I'm reading....
but posts like this have me second guessing that?

Agree and to be quite frank, my brakes do not squeal but the PCCBs I had on my 2018 GT3 squealed all the time.
Very happy with the Stock brakes and pads on my GTS. And they do fill out the space quite nicely.
For the track??- I can not comment
