I fold the back seats down and have a fitted carpeted mat supplied for SunCoast Parts. I hope this does not stray too far from the discussion of floor mats but it allows placement of items in this area without damaging the back of the seats

I like that. Does it come in black?

Weathertech mats for me. Have used them on several vehicles from sedans to trucks.

Tried them again in my 2019 Cayenne and they stunk too. Did everything from covering them with baking soda, letting them sit in sun, etc. Nothing worked and the sun actually warped them, so I threw them in the trash. I went with Weathertechs after that, as the car was a daily driver and I wanted appropriate mats.

With my 992, I bought a set of the OEM ones and let them hang on their original hangers for a few weeks. They reeked just like my prior ones did, so I returned them to dealer and bought Weathertechs. The Weathertechs don’t seem befitting of a 911 but I couldn’t find a better option. I only have those in for service visits and such and leave the carpet mats in most of the time, as the car is not a daily driver.

The look and feel of the OEM Porsche mats is fantastic but they really need to change the rubber compound to get rid of the stench.
Weird, I ordered the OEM winter mats from suncoast and they don’t smell at all. I love them! By far nicest OEM all weather mats I’ve seen.

+1 on the OEM winter mats, which I use year round. They are fantastic and my dealer always gives them to me when I buy a car. Not a fan of WeatherTech, but it has nothing to do with the owner's politics. I just don't like the product.

I ordered mine from Harper Porsche and they don’t smell either.

My OEM all weather mats look great and do not smell. My interior is a truffle brown and you can get the OEM mats to match. For the frunk and the deck with the seats folded I went with Loyds all weather in black.

Me too. I got the black Ultimats with the PORSCHE logo. I also have and like the OEM Porsche rubber mats for the 922. I highly recommend both.

I've got a fitted rear mat like that from Lloyds with red "911" on it. Fronts say "Carrera"Fits perfectly. Rears seats have never been up. Surprised any of you use rubber matts all year long. Nothing compares to Weathertech IMO.

Stock poverty spec mats that came with the car. I live in FL though, so what's the worst that can happen, a grain of sand pop in there? The horror.

This is what I did in my 991.2. Never bothered me once. In fact this thread had me wondering whether my dealer had installed some base mats, or whether the car came with something.

I've got the OEM rubber mats and they work well, no smell issues. And the Suncoast frunk liner. I'd like to get something for the rear shelf and for when I drop the seats down. Was considering a black harbor freight blanket with white stitching to somewhat match the interior.

I don't own a Tesla and will likely have a Taycan or Macan EV as I think Tesla is a great concept but I hate their exclusion of Apple CarPlay and am not fond of their poor build issues and some other problems, however if their cars appealed to me more for performance, functions/features, and build quality, the personality and belief system of the CEO would likely not impact my buying decision. Maybe I tend to separate the actor/athlete/musician/brand/etc. from their politics and evaluate them on their craft/product/etc. That's just me.

I can’t find the option to have the embroidered “PORSCHE” or “911” rear mat via Suncoast or Lloyd’s site. Do you have a link or did you call to place the order?

edit: Never mind. Suncoast informed me that Lloyd lost the licensing a few years ago so they no longer allow the embroidering.

Stock mats for me. Never had an issue in the 991.2 and no problems in the 992.

+1 for the OEM rubber mats, no smell issue either. I had weathertech in my old car, but the surface was really slick. When driving in sneakers, not a big deal, but when wearing dress shoes, it was irritating.
