Default Choosing plate

I have two personalized plates that arrived last week. Still deciding which one to choose?

Both are black & yellow California plates for inbound touring.

Neither. Redundant and trite to describe year/make/model of your car on the license plate. Try to come up with something that will make people smile/laugh/think instead, or just get standard plates.

And there you have it OP. Rennlist has declared your idea dumb.

Do what makes you happy. Don’t ask strangers for their opinions, you will get them, and you may not like it.

EDIT - forgot to offer my opinion. Id go with “SMILES”.

My father had a few classics with year & model plates. It’s a nod to some of the historic cars I’ve seen at car shows & alike. Plus I think it’s fun. That’s what counts 😋

Of the two I would go with the first one.

My funny story on my only custom plate: I had a ferrari 430 Spider long ago, and had "I PASTA U" as my plate (this was my first custom plate). The Meaning behind it was like "I past you" kind of thing in an Italian accent. (I am explaining due to the next statement below.....

About 1 out of 10 people got it, the other 9 would ask what Italian Restaurant do you own... Specifically if I pulled up to an Italian Restaurant in the car. I would usually (after my wife would tell me again, that no one would understand it) that I just owned this one that we were at.

Now I just get a normal plate, as my internal sarcasm is really only funny to me :-)

The best I have seen though was BYEBYE - it was on a Bugatti... I am not that creative I guess.

I got that out of the box. Very creative on the Spider. I agree on BYEBYE! I’m not a vanity plate guy but I’d be tempted if it was available.
