Hi guys,
I am wondering if anyone had experience restoring their 992 headlights? I PPF my entire car EXCEPT the headlights and of course I got a couple of deep chips on it. I know the headlights have some sort of UV coating on them hence they advised against the ppf. Do you guys know if the UV coating can be reapply at an autoshop or they can only sand it down and then polish followed by a ceramic coat and that's it? Thanks

Not really repairable. You can polish the headlights and remove the coating, but then the headlights will not be factory and the rock damage may be too deep to polish anyway. I’d live with it or replace the headlights. This is why the small risk of possible damage on PPF removal outweighs the certainty of rock damage , and why you should PPF headlights.

Someone may make replacement lenses. I know they exist for the 991. You shouldn’t need to buy a new headlamp assembly. If the lenses don’t currently exist, I’m sure they will soon.
