I think that depends on where you live. My wife had the sport package on her E class (so lower profile but not wider tires). 9 blown tires and 3 bent rims and less than three years - and we won't discuss curb rash. I don't know who was happier when we turned that car in early - my wife of the company that wrote the wheel and tire policy.

I just read some of the policies are transferable via a private sale, but not through a trade-in…humm?

Only two add ons that have ever seemed to have paid off for me are tire and wheel and windshield. My insurance doesn’t have a windshield option. Both can be negotiated down as well and really only make sense if you aren’t paying full boat for it. I’m already on my 2nd windshield on my 992.

The prepaid maintenance sticks with the car - I could see Porsche killing it on a trade so they coudl re-sell it. Kind of bull crap if that is the case.

Either way, the most important part is, you won't be getting any cash for it

I wasn’t clear. Sorry. I don’t know about the prepaid maintenance, BUT, I’ve read the extended warranty does not transfer via a trade, only through a private sale.

Yep, same with BMW I think - gives the dealers a chance to re-sell it.

Total BS.
