Picked mine up in late March, got PPF, sealed it with Adam’s paint sealant myself, installed seat protectors for the bucket outer bolsters from Ed Guard (thanks!), have Custom Car Grills sitting at home for the front bumper openings, and I want to remove the wheels and coat them with Poorboy’s Wheel sealant. Picked up a RENNtorq tool for the Centerlocks and will give them a whirl this weekend if I have the courage. Or just go for a drive
My first Porsche, so here’s hoping the experience will be everything it appears to be.
@pal You did PPF yourself? Mad respect. Would love to hear about the experience.
I wish I could say I did, but I did not. It was done by my mobile Xpel guy, in my garage though. I did apply Adam’s paint sealant on the car myself later though
7 hour drive in rain
decided my GTS is not a garage queen and took it to Charlotte from Cleveland yesterday. Wet mode was excellent and it was a fun drive. Ride is a bit punishing but I don’t care.
I just did VA, NC, KY, OH, WV, back to VA myself. Ended up driving some phenomenal roads, including Back of the Dragon and Tail of the Dragon. Almost 2000 miles in 5 days.
2022 Lava orange
Just purchased this 2022 GTS today to replace my Porsche 2024 911 T that suffered a total engine failure after 540 miles. This will great till .2 GTS are available.

I went from a F87 M2 Comp to my GTS (6mt to PDK tho). Curious your thoughts. My neighbor just got a G87 6MT and we did a back to back. Fun cars. But GTS especially just has the intangibles

Did you pass through Cincy? Coulda done a meet up!
Love it. I started a couple of local offices for larger firms and had veto on office location. One requirement was always that my office would overlook a big, safe parking lot where I could see my car. My view was similar to yours for many years. And mine was regularly the only car left each night. But its would have been much harder to work late. If I had to look at a Volvo. :-)

I’ve had a F87 M2 6MT for 6 years now, and it’s been my active track car for over 3 years now. It’s a stellar platform out of the box, and with a few updates, it makes for an extremely fun and capable track car. I expect it to serve this purpose for a couple more years, though I will do a track day or two every year in the GTS.
The G87 is very capable, but the weight has been a huge turn off for me. That being said, I won’t be surprised if I end up in one down the line. For now, the GTS and my manual A91 Supra should keep me entertained, besides the M2 of course.
