My friend was getting out of my car and broke the spring clip out of the passenger cup holder. The plastic circular end that holds it in is broken off. Can I replace just this part or have to buy the whole assembly?
appreciate any insight, couldn’t find anything searching for 992. For 997, what I read was that the entire assembly needed to be replaced.
I have no knowledge but I'll speculate that you'll have to purchase the entire assembly. Hopefully that entire assembly pops out of the dash and is easy to replace - but, again, I have no experience and really don't know.
Mine broke as well. Very fragile construction. Sometimes in sticks and doesn’t come out! My only complaint about my 911
Could be worse any other options?
Thanks
Easy to remove. Comes in one piece. Found that out when did my CF dash trim replacement. One you get the dash trim out this piece can be slide out as one part together (passenger cup holder). I know because mine came loose and it took me 3 times to get it back properly aligned in order to get the new CF passenger trim piece re-aligned and reinstalled. This video should help. you get the dash piece of to allow access to the cupholder. Good luck.
Mine recently broke. It was replaced under warranty.
Yup mine also replaced under warranty. I waited for a service appointment to take care of it at the same time as it wasn’t worth going in just for a cup holder. After it broke, I managed to tuck it in but it wouldn’t pop out properly. No questions asked.
