I took delivery of my 2022 Targa 4 a few weeks ago. Since then, I've received a couple of emails entitled "Get to know your 911." Here is what follows:
"We hope your new Porsche 911 has brought you plenty of enjoyment and the thrill of the open road. Today’s email should provide some helpful information about your 911. In each section, you will find links to the Porsche website that features short clips on each topic. Hopefully, these videos address some of the questions we get frequently from our owners."
So, being a new 992 owner, I clicked on the links regarding Targa Roof System, Park Assist, Key Fob Operation, and auto start/stop. For the Targa roof operation tab, it took me to this:
Doesn't look like a Targa roof and I don't own a 991
For key fob operation, here is what they directed me to:
Nice looking 911. Just not my car or my key fob.
Want to figure out Park Assist on your new 992, here's their nifty video:
Do they think I bought a CPO 991?
But the last video link was even more irrelevant, regarding auto start/stop:
Maybe they thought I also owned a Cayman?
I thought this was a mistake, so I waited a week or so. I then got the same email again. I'm not stupid and I can figure out lots of this stuff myself. I can also call my S.A. if I have questions. But, c'mon man! The best and most iconic sports car ever, that cost me over $150k, and one I had to wait 8 months to get, but they can't give me something specific to the model? Is anyone at PCNA even reviewing what they send out?
LOL. sucks that the US cars don't have the ability to open the top from the keyfob. Does anyone know the reason for this? Some have said before it is a cost cutting measure but I don't think that is accurate, as they would have made it an added cost option if they wanted to - it is a lot more useful than some of the other options they have.
