I had it on my Cayman GTS (mid weighted). Super easy install, solid, and was super happy with it. The owner will let you customize also other than what is shown on the site. Very responsive to all questions and will most likely buy another for my incoming C2S but want to see how the OE works first. Have a feeling it will get swapped out just because of prefer the added feel due to the weighted ****.

I have a Function First Delrin shift **** and love it. I live in hot weather and it never gets really hot, which is awesome.

I installed a Function First shift **** with my Numeric Racing short shifter. It was OK. I then switched to a Sportshifters GT2 shift **** and it is way better IMO. The Sportshifter **** is weighted and you can choose 3 different weights which makes a huge difference in shift feel. Also, there are endless customization options, materials, colors, finishes, etc. which makes it much more interesting to look at vs the delrin hard plastic/rubber material of the Function First ****. The Sportshifter **** is also grippier and feels much nicer to the touch and in your hand. The Function First **** is also smaller than the stock shift **** whereas the Sportshifters **** is about the same size as stock but just feels like much higher quality piece vs. stock or the Function First ****.

Another advantage with the Sportshifters **** is the height adjustment and as mentioned before, having the additional weight option makes it all the better.

www.sportshifters.com Their site is not entirely interactive so send them an email and ask to build you a custom one based on shift pattern and color to start. There's like 7 things you can choose for options on this shift ****. Very satisfied with the company and its product.

Yes…..three basic choices: Function First, sportshifters.com and e bay. They are all overpriced. Sportshifter is modular so it is highly customizable as to design, color and weight. FF is more old school. The mahogany shift ***** are unique - hand made and on e bay and are styled after the 908/917/Carrera GT heritage shifters. But will not go well with some colors/interiors I imagine.

Agree Scott but that OEM part is the for the entire assembly: ****, stalk , new leather boot, and frame all assembled as one piece……which is still overpriced in the typical Porsche way. The deviated stitched one is $895 ! IMHO, $220-300 for just a shift **** is overpriced for what you get. At least the sportshifter is customizable as to weight, design, color and material for that price though.

Also, I forgot to mention that a good YT video exists discussing the different weights, materials and “coins” available to order for your customized sportshifter. I found it very helpful to understanding the website and all the options available.
