You are comparing to very specific 911 models that you have obviously tweaked/modded quite a bit, that are not the norm. You take the average Porsche 911 by year and I will put it against a 718 Cayman for feel and handling any day of the week.

I’ll take hydraulic/manual steering in an old Porsche over any modern EPS system. I just love the feedback in those old setups and I really miss it in the modern cars.
It’s not really a knock on the GT4 - Porsche just can’t make them feel like the old cars. Safety regs make it impossible. You can’t recreate the feel of a <2800 lb car that’s completely analog with 2 inch A pillars and a school bus windshield with an engine cantilevered over its ***. The old cars are completely insane, design wise. The GT4 is a great car, but it feels nothing like the old ones.
That’s my experience anyway
