Question What is this warning light?

Lights up for a few seconds and comes and goes. Driving with a light foot and not aggressively at all.

You are close to the car in front of you I think is what it means.

It means you are driving to slow, given the model of car.

Adaptive Cruise Control sensor is saying you are following too close to the car in front of you. I see it often

For the speed you are traveling, the systems programing "believes" you are following to closely to the vehicle in front of you.

You need to pull over and stop. Your trunk monkey needs to relieve himself.

Adaptive cruise distance warning as others have said. Worth pointing out that this light will be on if your car likely won't be able to stop fast enough to avoid an accident should the driver in front of you hit something.

Yes, it's the warning that you're following too closely to stop safely.

Seems redundant to the screeching alarm. Oh, wait, that one only works when my wife is in the car.

Thanks for the responses. I went out for another drive and drove the same way as earlier but the light never came on. I even tested it by following a bit closer than usual and still nothing.

I have seen the other warning that Drew46 pointed out above. That one really gets your attention and seems to alert when the distance between the car in front of you is decreasing rapidly and you're not braking yet.

Some modern cars run predictive algorithms for the forward collision warning system. Meaning they take into account not just your speed and distance to the car directly in front but also other inputs such as steering angle, and the speed and trajectory of cars likely to come into your path. My understanding is that it’s linked to the logic that allows adaptive cruise to maintain distance to a car in front as you go round a bend, especially on a freeway where there are multiple cars across the lanes.

I had the same issue. Annoying. Here's how I fixed it on my 2022 C2: Press the "Car" button, "assistance", "..." in lower right corner, "Assistance System Settings", "Warn and brake assist", Here (finally) you can change sensitivity for both "collision Warning" and "Distance Warning". Options are: off, early, regular, late. It all depends how much nannying you want Hope this helps. Cheers

Does the Owner’s Manual explain this? Getting a new Porsche and want to be prepared with all the lights, switches, maintenance need understandings, etc. Thanks in advance.

The owners manual covers most of these things but not all and much of it can be hard to find. Download the PDF version and use search…
