Default New 992

Going to order my wife a new 992 to replace her 981. Can get a C2 months before a C2S. The only thing she wants that I cannot check a box for on a C2 are red calipers. If I order a C2 and have the calipers powder coated red will they boot me out of PCA? 😂

Yes, they will.

Who gives an S? Do what you and she wants with the car.

No to mention RL. You're risking some serious backlash.
If you don't track, there's not much to gain on getting a S. Even if you track you'll may need to change some decent amount of hardware to do it properly.
Get a base and paint them calipers. Live life dangerously.

And if she likes yellow, check on timing for a Turbo S and really let the tail wag the dog.

If I were to be buying an S today, I’d be the guy who’d option the $900 to paint the red calipers black.

As a guy who rolls his eyes at people who do all sorts of crazy detailing to their vehicles, I say paint the calipers whatever color you want. Only the nerdiest of 911 aficionados would be able to spot that the red calipers on your C2 don’t belong.

Tell her the black painted calipers are no cost on the base but cost $900 extra on the S and they are listed as a performance option! Win-Win!

I did the same with the Chalk/Bordeaux/Black targa I have on order. Just felt that the additional red detracted from the car.
