Default When to get the first maintenance service on 992?

Sorry if this is a stupid question or has already been answered...but I bought my 2021 Carrera 992 in March brand new and have about 6500 miles on it. Should I just call the dealer and tell them I want to get the car serviced next month (February) no matter what since it's under the 10,000 Mile Maintenance/Included First Year? Will they still service it for free even though I am still a ways off from 10,000 miles?

You’ll be close to a year. You’ll be fine.

You’re welcome. Get serviced at least once a year no matter the miles.

Do you know if the free maintance happens at the dealer you bought it or can it be any dealer?

I was told that as well, but they can make exceptions. I did that once for a 911 going into winter storage.

It's 10,000 miles or 1 year, whichever comes first. My dealer told me Porsche allows for a 90 day window, if you haven't hit 10,000 miles. Although not for Porsche, I have extensive experience on the Automotive OEM side of such matters and this sounds like pretty normal flexibility to me.

To piggyback of your thread...my car will be a summer car only and will only require service once/year. Better to service it before putting it into storage in the fall? Or service it in the spring when I take it out?

Both. If you MUST choose. . . do so before you park it.
