Why is Apple CarPlay coming on by itself?

Why is Apple CarPlay coming on by itself?
The last two times I’ve driven all of a sudden I hear a ding and Apple CarPlay pops up even though I’m listening to satellite radio with the favorite screen displayed. After about a minute or two Apple CarPlay goes away and the favorite screen comes back? The car has about 3500 miles on it and it’s never done it until the last two times I’ve driven it. Any ideas? Exactly this. What's curious is the CarPlay Screen is 95% showing whatever song I was last listening to from my iPhone, of those I have stored in the memory of my iPhone, which could have been weeks previously. The Satellite Music Station my car is tuned to, which I was listening to at the moment, continues uninterrupted. At the very bottom of this Pop-up CarPlay Screen, there'll be a thin line that says I have a Text Message.

Exactly this.
