Power steering plus
My dealer has a 992 for sale that has power steering plus. I don't like what that does to steering feel (or at least my perception of steering feel).
Does anyone know whether PSP can be deleted? I heard it was just a coding change.
thanks

I live in a large city with lots of tight parking lots and multi-storey parking garages and in those situations Power Steering Plus is a huge benefit (I’ve test driven with and without).
As such I’ve added it to my 992 C4GTS build.
Agree it’s not needed for typical US suburban driving.
Add me to the list of those who can confirm it only affects the steering effort at very low (parking lot) speeds.
My dealer confirmed it can be coded off as it is just a software change, so OP you may want to try for a bit and then get rid of it if you really don’t like it.

100 percent this. The difference is minimal and only at parking lot speeds. It has zero impact on steering dynamics when actually driving on the road. Not worth adding or deleting, but either can be done by your dealer.
I had no power steering plus on my 992 C4S coupe, and opted for it on my 992 Targa 4S that I just had delivered. You can tell a little difference at slow turning speeds, just ever so slightly easier to maneuver. With the small nature of the 911, you probably wouldn't miss it if you didn't have it. Obviously does nothing over 15 miles per hour as it is deactivated. If I were doing it again, wouldn't likely get it, but it is such a cheap option either way it is not bad or good from that respect.
I'm curious to drive a car with PS+, because mine doesn't have it and i dont see why I'd want it. Maybe having RAS helps in those tight turning situations that it offsets any difficulty I'd normally deal with, but my car feels super nimble when I'm pulling around my cul de sac and parking. Or any other low speed situation.
