992 C2S Cab
Lived in Colorado (Denver) for three years and the dumbest decision I ever made, in a lifetime of dumb decisions, was to move back to Chicago.
Nicely done. You did it right. btw, I picked up my current 911 Cab in a Boston snowstorm. So I moved to Florida!
Question . . . did you paint your wheels Jet Black or High Gloss Black?

I live pretty much right next to you, and have the car out today (nice that we've had no snow); I'll generally take it out if the roads are clear. Kind of hard to get in too much trouble on summer tires if I'm just sitting in traffic on Route 53.
Another Chicagoland Cabriolet owner! Did you say route 53? That's a long road, but I use that fairly often.
I'll look out for an aventurine green cabriolet.
Mine is guards red.
I also never bothered with winter tires, I plan to mostly garage it in Jan/Feb, then gradually drive it more and more as the weather warms up. This car is best enjoyed (IMO) driven top down. It just sounds glorious.
Two best ways to enjoy this car in metro Chicago (other than a racetrack):
1. Head downtown. You can't drive fast but a lot of eyes on the car, and as long as you don't park it it's just fun to drive it around
2. Get way out into the cornfields where you aren't held back by traffic and left lane laggards.

(sorry, not meaning to rub it in)
Beauty! With that light interior, take care not to wear blue jeans in the car - especially if they are damp or in the high heat of summer when you will be perspiration soaked. They will leach dye onto the seats and it won't come off.
