I am reading on the Macan forum that guys are getting their cars at the dealership with retrofit part timeline not defined . Thats not the bad part . At least they have a car . It may not have an electric steering adjustment but its no big deal . What is concerning is that some are getting cars held at the dealership . Two voiced a Bose Stop sale . Apparently the amplifier in the Bose needs to be installed to alert warnings . The range in getting an actual deliver can go from a few days to over 5 weeks . BTW these are 2021 cars . They were delivered late in many cases . Also note the 2022 is a refresh so they are getting cars which are already dated before they even get the key . Has anyone considered this ?
Here's the thread . Its long . No need to read the whole thing . Just go to the last few pages if yon wish ,.https://www.macanforum.com/threads/2...ortage.179550/

That would be kind of crappy.
My GTS doesn’t arrive until June, and is supposed to be a 2022, but two months later, 2023s will be rolling out.

I got literally the very last batch of 2021 992s made and only 1 key. 4 months later, still only have 1 key. But, I try to focus on the postives. It is still an outstanding car.

I picked up my 2022 911 two months ago and got only one key. I still have only one key but no complaints here. I’ll get it when I get it. I was just happy to get all options including power steering column but I think my choice of steering column casing in leather might have had something to do with that.

Thats what most seem to feel . If they get an incomplete car with a minor future retrofit at least they have the car . Its when the missing component holds up the car for weeks . There were two guys on that thread whose car were held up for months . They were not happy . They became happy when finally they got it but that was only 2 -3 weeks ago and they expected it going before that .

Picked mine up early August - 2021 model. 1 key, manual column. Still in that position and I can honestly say that I only think about it when I come on this forum and read posts like this. I had heard at one time that a computer driven controller for the TPMS was temporarily unavailable/incomplete - that was creating a stop sale on those vehicles. That makes sense - if the vehicle can't meet regulatory requirements the dealer can't turn it loose into the wild.
