Default GTS Rear Facia

Does anyone know the color of the highlighted area of the rear facia on the GTS? When you add the Sport Design Rear Fascia to the non-GTS, it shows on the configurator as body color. With the GTS, it shows as gloss black. Since the only GTS pictures i have seen are black, it is hard to tell.

That fin will be black on GTSs. That's one of the differences between the GTS and the others with Sport Design rear.

correct its black on gts. Just saw it at LA auto show on Targa GTS. I didn't love it.... but there are a few things I don't love about the GTS from a looks perspective so I'm not the right buyer for that car.

Hmmph. I like it better in body color or matte black. The one piece of gloss black doesn't seem to fit all that well. But that can be remedied fairly easily with my body shop guys.

It looks matte black, similar to the rest of the black plastic in that area, in all the pictures I've seen. Def prefer matte black. @slc4s, can you confirm if its indeed matte or gloss black since you've seen it in person? I'm headed to the LA auto show in a couple days and will def look then.

It does indeed. I am fine with the matter. Just not the gloss.

Default is matte black, but on the configurator you can choose gloss pack that includes wheels and trim in gloss.

Yeah. I think it is a configurator glitch/limitation. It shows gloss back in the picture above but gloss black is not selected and the remaining parts are not shown in gloss black.

Black. Unfortunate as I think it looks really good in body color.

Funny. This specific piece being body color generated a significant amount of consternation about how "busy" it made the corner look to have that little wing stand out with contrast.

Bottom line - we all get used to whatever. Those that have a strong preference either suck it up and get used to it, or personalize their car.

hmmm… can’t say I noticed if it was gloss or matte.

It's an "inexpensive" stand-alone part, so you can buy a new set and have them painted any color you want. Seems really easy to replace too (based on my quick inspection). See item 12 here (there are several 12s so scroll):

But at least you actually get something for your money. Many many options are only a color change that costs Porsche $0, but we buy them anyway. Even the Sport Design package can't actually cost them more to produce than the standard covers, but we pay thousands. Do you think the non-standard window trims costs Porsche more to make? How about colored seat belts, the blacked-out rear Porsche logo, or a white tach dial? If Porsche offered the trim pieces in body color, they'd probably charge $500.
