Yes, hard on both and increases the likelihood of your wheels getting scratched up.

I would go for the 19/20 set. There's more to that than just grip and snow. Winter time is the time for bad roads and pot holes, and the 19/20 set will be a lot safer in this regard.
If you get a bit of snow, or just hit some ice, there's also better protection if you slide and hit a kerb etc.

No. It certainly is not hard on the wheels. As far as the tires, I am lucky to get 3 seasons out of a set, so that means they are mounted 3 times instead of once. With the quality of these tires, I am not worried about any adverse effect. People worry about the wheels getting damaged in the process. That may have been the case 5-10 years ago when 19s and 20s were less prevalent and people didn't have as much experience with them. Plus, I am going to have it done at the Porsche dealership, so its their risk not mine. My dealership charges $200 to do the switch, so that is $400/year, so that is a very long time to offset the cost of a second set of wheels. They come pick up the tires going on before the appointment and then will drop off the ones they took off. Add in a loaner and its no more difficult then them changing our my wheels (what I currently do).

Wow, that's some kind of dealership. There's not a single dealer in the DC area that will do anything like this.

As noted, the 19/20 are skinnier which helps in snow and ice. But what people forget is that it also has a much higher sidewall and this is important because of the potholes that develop with the freeze/thaw that happens every year. So the more sidewall, the more protection for your rims.

Fun fact, the Porsche OEM Winter sets (19/20 and 20/21) are a slightly different offset in back compared to the standard rear wheels. This helps with the snow/slush/etc being thrown everywhere.

Another fun fact...the 20/21st look better - alas, the 19/20s are like a winter coat - you might not look as good as you would without the coat, but you will be happier overall.

You need to change out those side markers.

More like a shed to get all that stuff hanging on the wall away from that beautiful car.
The bolt cutters look especially terrifying.

My wife won't let me get a shed - probably cause she knows I will just dump chit in there and we live on a postage stamp lot. She assures me that with our mechanical engineering degrees, we got this.... of note, the stuff by the 1M is pretty scary too
