Default Build locks tomorrow. Undecided on these options

My second build for a 992 S locks tomorrow. The build is near identical to my 2021, but I added pdls+, armrest/console in model designation and tach and chrono in white.
options I'm still pondering before my lock tomorrow are:

1. High gloss window trim..
My wife has this on her Macan S and it looks quite nice and has held up wonderfully since 2016. My current Cayman S has standard trim. Both cars are white and I feel the gloss looks nicer, but my 992 will be JBM and standard vs gloss trim might not be much of an impact?? Thoughts....
2. Race tex headliner. I feel this looks nice and gives a more luxurious appearance, but im not really going for a lux ride, more of a purposeful sports car.. but whenever I'm in a porsche with Alcantara/race tex headliner, it looks nice. Just not sure if its worth the extra money, especially with visors.
3. Model designation in exterior color.. Again, since my car will be JBM, the model designation might get lost due to dark color. But I think it might look kind of cool and stealthy. Again...any thoughts would be appreciated.

My final build code unless I add something mentioned above:

Like many options, all very personal. My 2 cents worth below.

1. I too also had high gloss black on my Macan Turbo and have opted for it on my wife's incoming Macan S, but that's only because standard is silver. I didn't opt for high gloss on my 992 and don't miss it at all - the standard matte black trim works and blends nicely.
2. I really liked it in my Macan Turbo and was disappointed they changed this with the 992 (iirc, all 911s had alcantara/racetex headliner?), but I wouldn't pay for it.
3. Both will look good - do you prefer it to blend or pop? Against JBM, I prefer the standard silver model designation.

Better get that change in asap if you want to make it!

Given that we’re talking a jet black metallic car, skip the gloss window trim and model designation in exterior color. Both cheapen the look of the car.

When I am driving, I don’t spend a lot of time looking at the headliner of a 992, so I don’t have strong opinions on headliner choices. I just avoid Alcantara-like materials on anything that I touch, because it will eventually look like s@#$. Leather gets patina. Alcantara-like materials get gross. That being said, it’s not like you’re touching the headliner — you do touch the visors.

I see that you have spec'ed the leather passenger cupholder - but haven't spec'ed the Steering Column Casing in leather.

If you can only pick one, Steering Column definitely.

Most folks will not even notice/comment on the cupholder material... but the leather on the steering column looks great.. and I believe will also have the chalk stitching you've selected.

I did ponder the steering casing, but am quite sure it comes with black stitching. My friend just took delivery of a 718 GTS 4.0 with chalk/black interior and optioned the steering casing and was told it would include chalk stitch to match the dash/doors etc. Unfortunately it does not have chalk stitch. Its black and because of this, it doesn't look much different than the all black plastic.
I optioned the cup holder in leather as it joins with the lower leather dash and would rather have the entire area leather instead of vinyl/plastic. You would think porsche would have included it with the leather package...but they really know how to nickel and dime for options!

Mine is a Black C2S and I skipped all three of the options you're considering for pretty much the same reasons that detansinn mentions. If however, you decide to go with the blacked out model designation you'll probably want to do the same for the "P O R S C H E" Logo between the Taillights and don't forget the Muffler Tips as well. If you leave one of them chrome/silver it'll stick out like a sore thumb. All or nothing IMHO. We stayed with what comes stock with the Muffler Tips in bright silver/chrome as well. In the long run, I'm glad I made the choices I did.

I'd verify that on the 911.

I can't speak for Black/Chalk Stitching - but I have the Red/Black interior... I ordered the steering column casing and the leather is black with red stitching. Looks great and I appreciate seeing it every time I get behind the wheel... I'm so happy that someone recommended it to me before I locked.

It's Slate/Chalk but I'll wager that Black/Chalk will be the same

Great license plate!

I have your exact thoughts on the model designation in exterior color. I should then do the logo in black. BUT...I really do not care for it in black, so I guess I've answered my own question on this option.
I do have the Porsche logo specd in silver as I feel it goes well with the silver trim on the wheels and it just looks more "right" to me than the blacked out logo. I did spec the PSE black tips, just because they have a nice chrome black look, which i prefer to the brighter silver.
thanks for the feed back and picture!

Did some more research and sounds like it comes in black as default. To get colored stitch, you must order the deviated stitch pack. This particular thread discusses it and post #6 states the stitch is black. I may talk with my salesman tomorrow to verify.

Interesting...

It looks like it may be the two-tone leather interiors that get the deviated stitching included with the steering column option.
My Bordeaux/Black 992 received deviated stitching on the steering column.
And the link that I posted earlier appears to come from a car that has the two tone Slate/Chalk leather
The two tone options are slightly more expensive than the single color options with deviated stitching.

So maybe that's the difference?

I'm sure the dealer will be able to get the final answer!

Congrats on the lock!
