Brembo has rotor & pad combos for these cars that claim to reduce dust -- no first hand experience. I also just learned about AP Racing's Radi-Cal - now that looks like an interesting brake upgrade. Not for dust, but performance.
I have Brembo on my 997.1 modded Turbo . They are amazing . Its hard to tell with dust as I have HRE Comp C20's . It has an outer step lip.
Nonsense. I’ve owned both at the same time. PCCBs crush iron all day unless cost is a factor.
Journos? How about Randy Pobst, who raves about PCCBs? He a reliable opinion? How about Porsche team race drivers who rave about PCCBs and spec them on their personal cars?
You’re right, the opinion that matters is Joe the Rennlist keyboard warrior who’s never even owned a car with them…
Seems you are the one getting very emotional and defensive about PCCBs. You cite one race car driver and anonymous other race car drivers. Again RACE CAR DRIVERS. Not all sports car enthusiasts think like racers nor do they have the same priorities. This is a subjective topic and no matter what you argue, in the end, it’s just your opinion and my opinion. So enjoy your PCCBs but don’t force your opinion on others, especially with that sense of superiority you seem to project.
If you are buying a Base 911 because that is the configuration you like (we have seen lots of posts where people find the base more engaging), then I can see why you might add the PCCBs. But if you are going with the Base because of budget considerations, I would think your would get more value putting that money to other options.
