Default Steering Wheel Popping Noise

Hello,
I have read all the threads about the popping / noise in a 2020 992. I cannot figure this out and the dealership is helping as much as they can.
I notice the sound after I fill the car with a full tank of gas. It does it all the time but mainly heard a slow speeds. It is daily. The only time I "think" it goes away is when the car is almost empty of fuel but I am going to pay closer attention on this tank.
I have attached a video. Please let me know if you think that service bulletin is about this - Bulletin # 122-P3B5Q-03 was published on 02/25/20. "Instructions for correcting noise from the steering wheel and shaft on the new 992 generation 911".

Any help would be appreciated!

There are recent threads on this along with a solution but I can't readily find them (didn't try hard). Anyway, the tank is not completely secured against movement, and presumably there is more forceful fuel sloshing when near full which causes some movement and the thumping feeling and noise.

Might try a thread search for Frunk Area Rattle.

You haven’t read all the threads. This is the gas tank rubbing against the metal “strut” on top of it…the metal “nipples” on the bottom of this piece which match up with indentations in the tank are the culprit. Putting thick abrasion resistant tape in between each nipple/indentation is the solution. Spent weeks with my dealer and Porsche engineer to figure this out…and yes, the more full the tank, the more prevalent the rattle. Takes about 2 hours to fix per my dealer (once you know the solution!)

Here’s the video I made of the sound when the tank is full. The mentioned strut is what I cross when I move my had from the bottom to the top of the video. I still haven’t fixed as I’m waiting for a TSB I hope so don’t end up wasting time with my dealer more than once.

Do as you wish, but you now know the issue and the solution. Note that Porsche engineering would not authorize installing a new tank and strut since the tape appears to have addressed the situation…I pushed for that.

Thank you for this! And you are correct, I did not read all of the threads. I am sure there were more. I'll review this in detail!
Also - I just read your post "Frunk Area Rattle - Difficult Diagnosis" and that is EXACTLY what happened with mine, after about 4-6 weeks it started showing up! Thank you again.

Is my noise the same in your opinion? I'm still trying to track this one down
