Default Recommendations on ways to enhance black interior

Some may recall that I am the one who had a previous 992 S MT order that was delivered this summer with a faulty motor. Porsche did a buyback and now my second (reorder) locks Nov 17th and I'm looking for advice and hopefully pictures of different ways to enhance the full black leather interior w/chalk stitch. I have optioned the light silver trim as I find it enhances the horizontal line of the dash, which I like. With this, it also adds some light color to the interior. I've thought about silver or chalk belts, but would like real life feedback. Also thinking about a white tach, but don't want to be disappointed with the white and hard to read numbers while lights are on...again, looking for owner feedback. Here is my build. Its about identical to my first, which I loved during the 10 miles I drove it!

My 2 cents: I try to stay far away from lite color seat belts. To quickly they collect oils from your hands and that in turn finds dirt that is nearly impossible to clean completely. I didn't check your build, but if you haven't specified a sunroof, you might seriously consider that. A sunroof really does brighten the interior quite a bit. Another thought is aftermarket Cocoa Mats with white or silver trim and deviated stitching. Cocoa Mats are 100% traditional and also do a lot to cut the intrusion of road noise.

I think you are on the right track, I built mine the same way (with brushed aluminum). I did not do white dials but I think they would look good. My car is manual and was a bit concerned with reading RPMs but that does not appear to be an issue according to most people. I did not do a sunroof but I agree it would add some light to the interior.

We’ve had private message discussions as I too was in similar situation. Got my replacement about three weeks ago. Here are my suggestions based on both of my cars.
1. brushed aluminum trim greatly breaks up the sea of black.
2. orig car was standard black interior, new one is black leather with chalk trim. Having experienced both I think the financial compromise is standard black with leather option which gives you the leather stitched dash, door tops and a few other small items. When in the car you are constantly looking at the dash.
3. this time I opted for the glass sunroof as even closed completely it allows some light to filter through and brighten up the cabin. With the sunshade opened (glass roof closed) it greatly brightens up the cabin.

If I had to choose between the standard black with leather option or the glass sunroof, I would go with the glass sunroof as it also enhances the exterior by providing contrast with monochromatic body color.

pm me if needed.

I am going with GR exterior and black leather interior with deviated stitching in GR plus red chrono dial and tach and aluminum inlays.

thanks ohniner. Would it be possible to show a few pictures of your aluminum trim? I too thought going that route, but also like the silver trim option with standard inlay...is also how I specd my original order.

Here is black leather w/ chalk stitching, brushed aluminum trim, red tach dial & seat belts, aluminum & leather shifter nub, and red trimmed floor mats.

Exterior color is GT silver. I don't like sunroofs so I don't have one.

Sorry for the glare in the picture - it makes the brushed trim look somewhat brighter than it is in person.

Hope this helps.

nice; my interior is similar, except i put the splash of red in the sport chrono dial and left the tach black. i don't like a primary gauge being blingy.

i do like @Bluehighways suggestion of coco mats. this company has lots of cool options - the black/red coco would look great if red is the highlight color in your interior: www.cocomats.com

Go with red stitching, red tach, and red seat belts.

All to match your red calipers.

Aluminum trim is a nice way to lighten up an all black interior.

agree, the chalk stitching just won’t pop that much like other colors. and i’ve personally got the chalk. wish i could have utilized another color for this costly option.
