Cargo space on rear seats

Cargo space on rear seats
Hello gyus, I found many cars with the plastic part on the rear side of rear seat avoiding suitcase movement (attached picture), but also some without this plastic. What additional equipment is required to receive new car with this part? Thank you

They no longer include the luggage stops on the seat backs and it’s not possible to specify them as an option. Early builds for MY20 had them. No MY21 cars have them.
By not including them, you can effectively fit bigger pieces back there. It’s not as if the stops really secured the luggage in the first place.
There has been some chatter on RennList about installing them on later builds, but I don’t of anyone who’s done it yet.

My 991.2 coupe (2017) had it but my cab (2018) and Targa (2019) did not. I can confirm that my 992 cab also doesn’t have this part …

Porsche doesn't actually define that area as cargo space, maybe it was in the 60's and 70's but not these days.
As detansinn says those parts really did very little to restrain luggage, if you plan on carrying anything of weight back there better to use some decent tie-downs.

What would have been effective - If Porsche had provided 4 tie-down spots so you could use an elastic netting to keep things in place.

I'd rather the option of no stops to hold bigger suitcases if necessary, read: my WIFE needs all the suitcase space we can muster on week-long road trips.

Rear seat space
Doing European Delivery of my 992 GTS this spring and I was wondering if anyone has maximum luggage dimensions for the rear shelf. Also, will the luggage be easy enough to load/unload in a coupe GTS with the seat folded forward? I would ideally like to have two large checked bags on the rear shelf and use two carry-ons in the frunk.

Thanks, and you didn't have issues squeezing the luggage into the car with the seat folded forward?

Has anyone tried these Weathertech Cargo-tech corners to hold items in place in their folder rear seat backs?
I have some sporting equipment in flat cases that I place on the folded rear seat backs, yet they do slide around. I'm looking for something to hold them in place.
