So what happens if you break the strap while someone is in the back seat?

Move over to the other seat and try to release it.

But they made me bring it in so they could take both seats out to check the dates on the stickers on the frames to verify it and then put them back together again so I could continue driving it while we wait for the parts that they only ordered a few days ago. As someone referenced above it could take 3 months to get those parts. This repair process doesn't seem like the model of German efficiency - more like a waste of man hours and resources, if you ask me.
Crazy how they could not use a mirror or fiber optic camera. Heck you can get a camera that bluetooths to a phone for 20 or 30 bucks!

Yep exactly

It's become a habit with me to just push on the seat back. I don't even think about it anymore.
There isn't ever going to be a passenger in back, so it's really just to retrieve items. I keep the rear seats folded with a Lloyds carpet on top.

Has anyone from the Middle East/Europe had this fixed by their dealership? Mine keep delaying, denying any fault, etc.

Experiencing passenger side issue - with brand new 2024 model. I have NEVER been able to get passenger seat pull to work and have had to use drive side (which word fine) to put/retrieve backseat items.

Still an issue with others with their newer models?

Not an issue at all on my ‘24. It’s always a little hard for my daughter to pull to get into the back seat but she can do it 100% of the time on the new one. When the replaced the passenger side on my ‘21 when I had the issue it worked fine after. It’s a bad design. Wish they would go back to the metal slide.

are you pulling towards the back of the car, and not the front? My cars seats both have sticky pulls unless I pull backwards.

I was trying to pull straight back (not back nor front) although I think by now I have pulled every which way and nothing. strap seems to pop out ever so slightly but seat back will not budge.

Long Beach Porsche replaced both my seat backs after a delay receiving parts. I have not had issues with them since.

Was it just the seat back? I was wondering they disassemble the whole seat.

I only have the issue on my passenger side.
